Who we are
Spuggy Designs is a small, sustainable knitwear brand based in Surrey, UK, creating colourful, handcrafted knitwear for all genders, ages, and seasons. Founded and run by Helaina in her home knitting studio, Spuggy Designs blends traditional hand-knitting with self-taught machine knitting to produce beautifully made pieces that are both practical and playful.
With over 20 years of knitting experience, Helaina creates each design on a manual, hand-powered knitting machine—combining craftsmanship with conscious production. At Spuggy Designs, everything is made using natural and eco-friendly fibres like Merino wool, British wool, and recycled cotton. Most items are made to order, reducing waste and supporting a more sustainable way to shop.
The unisex collection at Spuggy Designs includes soft Merino and British wool scarves, chunky snoods, cosy hand warmers, beanie hats, jumpers, ponchos, and even adorable seasonal baby hats—perfect for little ones. Prices range from £17 to £200, so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re buying a thoughtful gift or a timeless wardrobe staple.
