Pedddle connects the creative market community both online and in person. Here’s the story of how we began.
Back in June 2018…
Nicki founded Pedddle, as a directory to help market visitors re-connect with creative markets and their stallholders. With 2 years devoted to coping with the Covid outbreak and its aftermath, and markets temporarily ceasing to run, 2022 seems like only our second full year in business.
“I’ve always found markets inspiring. When re-decorating or looking for a gift, the unique items that I stumble across at local markets are perfect for my home, friends or family. I wanted to create an easy way to find stallholders I’d seen and shop from them again after markets. I could remember the markets I visited but not always the name of the stall. Whether at home or on holiday around the UK, I wanted to be able to shop from the incredible small businesses I’d found. Over the years, we have expanded our team and our nationwide community. We are now a core team of 4 (plus occasional freelancers), with an ever-growing creative community of markets and their stallholders. Click here to meet the Pedddle team.
Our markets vary in their offering, but we specialise in artisan, craft and vintage events. We are champions of shopping small, independently and locally, supporting creative British businesses and keeping artisan trades alive.
