Who we are
Quite Contrary Jewellery is home to a huge variety of pearl jewellery, from simple ear studs to magnificent baroque strands. Not only will you find pearls but also silver pieces made using the traditional silversmithing techniques such as planishing, forging and chain making.
Almost every piece is unique due to the variations in each pearl or gemstone used. Pearls combined with gemstone beads, are a lovely way to introduce birthstones such as garnet or turquoise, making each piece special to the buyer or recipient. You can work together with me, on any special piece you would like created too. In addition to making new jewellery, I am very happy to restring and remodel broken pieces no matter what the value is. Often sentimental gifts are the most precious. Renewing cherished pieces to give them new life, is more important than one might think, it also helps with sustainability, reducing pressure on our beautiful planet.
