Who we are

Hi, My name is Debbee. I was born in South Africa and have lived in Surrey, England since 2000. During the coronavirus lockdown of March 2020, like everybody else I found I had spare time on my hands, and I have always been keen to try a craft like pottery or something else creative. I then saw a fellow South African lady selling mosaic kits, the kit was a great way to try my hand at this form of art.

I was addicted from the first piece and ideas flooded my brain. With the support and encouragement from my wonderful husband the walls in our home were slowly filled with colourful hearts, butterflies which then crept on to window sills in the form of decorative mosaic plant pots. Thanks to the encouragement from my son, husband and friends, Mom’s Mosaics was born. The name, logo and website of this small business was designed by my 14 year old son. In 2023 I started selling my mosaics at markets in Surrey & in September 2023 Mom’s Mosaic joined a team in a Pop Up shop in Leatherhead called The StockRoom. I now have 4 beginners Mosaic Kits & offer Beginners Make your own Mosaics in a few different locations. I make my mosaic from my kitchen table creating original mosaic where no two are ever the same!
