Who we are

Emma Easter Handcrafted is a Welsh artisan business specialising in handbags handcrafted from Harris Tweed® cloth and leather, proudly made in the Rhondda Valleys, South Wales.

What began as a personal search for the perfect bag, one that could withstand Welsh weather while looking effortlessly elegant, has grown into a heritage-inspired brand dedicated to creating handbags that truly work for everyday life.

Each bag by Emma Easter Handcrafted is individually cut, sewn and finished in my Welsh studio, ensuring no two pieces are ever identical. The interiors feature my signature water-resistant linings, often custom-printed in the UK with licensed artwork from independent illustrators. These linings protect against life’s little spills and make opening your handbag a small daily pleasure. From crossbody bags that move with you to totes that carry everything without feeling cluttered, every design is created with both practicality and beauty in mind.

The Heritage Collection brings together certified Harris Tweed® cloth from Scotland with carefully selected leathers from respected tanneries, finished with quality hardware and supplied with a protective dust bag. This Celtic connection between Scotland and Wales celebrates traditional craftsmanship while offering handbags that balance durability with quiet luxury. Collections include the romantic Rosa range, the timeless Penelope totes, the whimsical Mystic Garden pieces and the nature-inspired Enchanted Woodland designs. Each handbag reflects a belief in creating fewer but better things, crafted to become a lasting part of your wardrobe rather than a passing trend.

I started Emma Easter Handcrafted because I was tired of handbags that looked beautiful but quickly failed in daily life. I was frustrated with linings that became unusable after one spill of water, a makeup leak or a bottle that tipped over. So I taught myself to sew, sourced the finest British and Italian materials I could find, and began making the handbags I wanted to carry. Friends noticed and began asking for their own, and the business grew from there.

Now, almost two years later, I still make every handbag myself in my small studio in the Rhondda Valleys. I still feel a thrill every time I see one being carried in town or on social media. And I still believe that if you are going to invest in a handbag, it should be one that makes you smile every single time you use it.
