Who we are
Clay Safari- A journey into ceramics
Hi, I’m Claire, the maker lovingly crafting art, homeware and accessories from sticky lumps of clay. Each piece is one of a kind, made in my Staffordshire studio and inspired by the animal kingdom.
I enjoy making both functional and more decorative pieces, using a combination of traditional hand building and slip casting techniques.
The glaze designs I apply use skills from my time working as an illustrator. Studies of animal forms are translated to the ceramic medium, incorporating patterns and colour from different cultures. My aim is to create playful, joyful objects.
