Who we are

Bojolar Natural Skincare was founded by me as an idea in my living room talking to friends with nostalgia about sheabutter and its amazing healing and anti-inflammatory benefits. As a trained biogeochemist (PhD), I had knowledge of the science behind sheabutter’s properties but also believed it was the answer to a myriad of skin problems that plagued my friends and family, such as eczema prone, inflamed and itchy skin.

Living in the UK, I had a drive to ethically source sheabutter from Western Africa, in its purest natural unrefined form and create body butters that was effective and powerful in addressing these skin problems. With my background in the science and lab techniques, I formulated my own skincare products and created the vision for the business. We put those women who process sheanuts in Africa at the center of our motivations. Our passion is deeply rooted in how our business can empower these women to make a living for themselves as well as make a profit and tell the sheabutter story
