Who we are
Hi I’m Marianne the organiser of Tissington Craft Fairs. A maker myself, my first ever stall was actually at Tissington. The event was a little bit different then but I fell completely in love with the village setting. I eventually became a regular stall holder and helped out on the day. I unexpectedly took on the craft fair business in June 2019. I was keen to put my own mark on the event and I run it from the perspective of a stall holder and draw from my own experiences as a trader in this venue. I am proud to curate the market and take a lot of care when reviewing applications from potential stallholders. With only 11 stalls at each event, I am always extremely careful to minimise duplication of similar products, giving each exhibitor their chance to shine. Variety is key as I want our customers to enjoy the different choices each stall has to offer rather than going away with a feeling of there being too much of the same thing. Our comprehensive application form ensures that I have as much information about your creations as possible so that I can make an informed decision. I think very carefully about the layout of the room and feel a real sense of pride watching the venue transform when all of the stalls set up on the day and my favourite part is taking photos of all of the wonderful handmade products on offer.
