Blanchland Artisan Markets
Who we are
Blanchland Artisan Markets started life in the early months of 2022 as a Pop Up Market in the Gatehouse, the iconic Grade 1 listed building belonging to The Lord Crewe Arms. The very first Pop Up showcased the work of Beyond The Byre Jewellery, it was a one day event and proved to be very succesful. After this first event, Carolyn and David the crafty couple behind Beyond The Byre decided to share the love and organised an Autumn Artisan Market in October and a Bijou Christmas Market in the winter of 2022. Carolyn has always been the bossy, sorry, organised sort, and David is very good at keeping her in check, this proved to be the perfect combination and from this Blanchland Artisan Markets was born. The ethos behind their events is to create an experience and a destination for top quality artisan, handmade products by local makers, bakers and creatives. Located in the beautiful medieval village of Blanchland the Artisan Markets are a treasure trove of great workmanship, carefully curated, with no duplications, making the experience great for both traders and buyers. The markets have grown to encompass various buildings in Blanchland and Carolyn and David work closely with The Lord Crewe Arms, Blanchland Village Hall and Blanchland Abbey, this creates a great atmosphere with various activities, demos, taster sessions and live music happening across the village at each event. Blanchland Artisan Market hold 3 events each year, a Spring Market, a Summer Market and Feel Good Fair and a two day Christmas Artisan Market at the end of November. Markets are by application only and the organisers carefully curate each market, introducing new makers, bakers and creatives to each event, offering a great selection and choice for the customers and vistors to Blanchland.
