- Blanchand Village Hall and Bar has step free access and is wheelchair accessible, there is designated disabled parking at the front, please show your Blue Badge. The Lord Crewe Gatehouse has a stone staircase leading up to the venue and The square is loose gravel, but is negotiable for wheechair uers and buggies with care. Blanchland Abbey Church has two steps down into the building. There are toilets, including a disabled toilet in Blanchland Village Hall and there are public toilets with a disabled toilet in the village.

- The Village has a large public car park, £2 per vehicle per day (via an Honesty Box; these funds help support the Abbey). Location: Shildon Road, DH8 9SS. We also have Disabled Parking (Blue Badge) at the front of The village Hall, DH8 9UA and all being well there will be ample parking on the Showfield at the front of The Hall, £1.00 honesty box at the exit. Please follow our volunteers stewards guidance. We politely request that visitors park carefully and do not block other cars in, we also ask that you avoid street parking and please be mindful of our residents, who will require access throughout the day, thank you in advance.

Set in the chocolate box village of Blanchland on the border of Northumberland and County Durham, our markets have a fabulous reputation for high-quality handmade crafts, art, food and drink. We have a two-day celebration of all the best Christmas gifts, goodies and makes. You will find the streets buzzing with activity, and four locations showcasing the very best Artisan makers and creatives from the region.
Join us in the Square for our traditional outdoor market; our bijou experience is located in the iconic Gatehouse; Blanchland Village Hall and the Long Room will be filled to the rafters with Christmas cheer and the most fantastic local makers, bakers, artists and artisan makers! Hot food, mulled wine, festive music, clog dancing, choirs, and so much more will be happening throughout the festive fair weekend, so be sure to explore Blanchland Abbey as part of your Christmas day out!
Our fairs are free to enter, and dogs are welcome - Open 11 to 4pm
