Who we are
Art in the Pen is a well established and highly regarded art and craft fair that runs each year at Skipton Auction Mart. From humble beginnings, the event has developed into what many now consider to be the North's leading art event. Back in 2005, Art in the Pen started out as a relatively small number of artists transforming cattle pens into galleries to sell their original work. The organic and informal nature of the event really captured the attention of visitors, who now return each years. Today, Art in the Pen has flourished into a sprawling event, with an abundance of creativity and craftsmanship at every turn. Crafts in the Pen takes place each November at Skipton Auction Mart. The event has grown into a wonderful crafts market the whole family can enjoy. As well as 230 stalls, we are always joined by The Art Shop Skipton. We have two cafes on site and a hot drinks point. Even Santa joins us every year in our festive Grotto
