- Pollen Market takes place at Grey to Green in Castlegate. The market space lies beautifully next to the River Don, surrounded by an abundance of wild flowers and thoughtful planning. The area is entirely flat, with no steps and is perfectly accessible for all.

Overlooking the bridge built as an ode to a lost love, Pollen will revive Sheffield’s ancient heart with the long-awaited return of its once famous flower market. Forming part of the Grey to Green initiative, Pollen plays a pivotal role in bringing the much missed colours, scents and sights back to Castlegate, breathing life into a part of town that was once the gateway to the city.
Offering a curated programme of events throughout the year, Pollen delivers an abundance of greenery, live music and art, local produce and so much more to the people of Sheffield. You’ll find Pollen Market overlooking the River Don, as part of the Grey To Green Project in Castlegate. We’re situated on a beautiful stretch of land between the Tap & Barrel pub and Yorkshire Artspace. Please note that this venue does change twice a year - in December and February, the market will be held inside Peddler Warehouse, to shelter us from the elements!
The market in Castlegate is a short walk from Sheffield Station and by tram, the nearest stop is Fitzalan Square. If you are arriving by bus, you’ll want to alight at Waingate or Snig Hill. If you are a cyclist, you'll find us on Sustrans National Cycle Network Routes 6 & 627 and the Inner Ring Cycle Route. Lastly, If you are driving or getting a taxi to Pollen, please use the postcode S3 8LB.
