Winchester Guildhall Craft and Gift Market offers an artisan market in the heart of the city. Winchester is certainly a thriving city, with its beautiful and historic cathedral a huge draw for visitors, making it a great day out all round.

Winchester attracts both tourists, visitors and locals with its shopping and historic buildings throughout the year. Tourists from all across the world regularly visit Winchester Cathedral, as well as wanting to visit the ‘Round Table’ located in Winchester Great Hall and taking its part in Arthurian legends.

Winchester Guildhall is one of the most imposing buildings in Winchester, a striking Victorian building located at the Northern end of the High Street.

Our markets here attract a lot of attention from both locals and visitors, our spring and Christmas season markets being the most popular. During the Christmas season the footfalls here can be enormous with regular counts of 2500 – 4000 even on a Friday and Sunday!

We utilise 2 different halls within the large complex of rooms known as Winchester Guildhall. In the spring we tend to use the smaller and more atmospheric King Charles Hall and in November and December, the larger Bapsy Hall - you’ll see signs on market days.

The halls are well served by a lift or stairs, enabling stallholders to move their products into the particular hall we are utilising, though some carrying is always required. Unloading is right outside the rear door of the Hall complex before moving on to one of the local public car parks. There are several disabled bays just behind the hall, making this venue suitable for those with disabilities.

We are always looking for new stallholders to join us at this location throughout the year, though our Christmas season markets, with their huge footfalls, always sell out fast!
