- The venue has step free entrances which are accessed over a gravelled surface. The market is all on ground floor level (with the acceptation of 4 stalls which are accessed by a few steps with grab rail) with appropriate alleyway spacing & one way system to create comfortable wheelchair access around the event. The taproom has some seating and the bar accessed on ground level. Both the End Hemmel barn and the Rigg & Furrow taproom have a designated disabled toilet. The disabled facilities in the taproom will have to be accessed through the side entrance with step free access. There will be limited comfy seating inside the End Hemmel barn which can be access via a few steps. The Rigg & Furrow taproom has ample indoor seating some of which is accessed at ground floor level near the bar & others via a few steps. There will be additional seating in the outside grass paddock.

- There is ample free parking available on site at the farm - some of which will be on gravel and others will be in the prepared fields. Disabled parking spaces are also available and we have designated parking attendants at the gate to direct people to the appropriate spaces.

The Forage Market is back - and it’s bringing two days of festive fun, creativity, and Christmas cheer to the End Hemmel barn at Rigg & Furrow, Acklington, on Saturday 8th and Saturday 9th November.
Get ready to shop small, shop local, and shop thoughtfully as more than 50 independent makers and designers from across the North East come together under one roof. Expect everything from handcrafted homeware and unique gifts to seasonal treats and design-led delights - all carefully curated to showcase the best of local talent.
Founded by creative duo Ellie Davison-Archer and Steven Eyles, the Forage Market has quickly grown into one of the region’s most loved events - attracting over 3,000 visitors per market. It’s a place where makers, creatives, and curious shoppers can connect, celebrate craftsmanship, and enjoy that special festive feeling that only comes from buying direct from the people who made it.
And the magic doesn’t stop at the Forage Market! Once you’ve filled your tote bag, stay on the farm to enjoy the Rigg & Furrow taproom, serving artisan-brewed drinks, alongside a tempting line-up of local street food - the perfect way to toast the season.
Entry to the Forage Market is just £1 (Under 16s & dogs go FREE!). That includes free parking, free raffle entry, and a good dose of festive goodwill as a percentage of all entry fee profits will be donated to Amble Food Bank.
