The best indie markets in London

Need Some Inspiration?

Discover some of the best independent markets that London has to offer!

Almond Creative, the clash London calling art print.

Markets in London have a long history; centuries of sourcing local produce, full of unique finds, providing places to meet family and friends, always brimming with atmosphere. Our wondrous capital city is home to hundreds of fabulous markets; famous shopping destinations such as Borough Market, Portobello Road and Old Spitalfields, which are each fantastic in their own right. Click here to check out some of the best.

However, sometimes you want something a little different – a smaller independent market. Smaller indie markets give a completely different vibe and provide undiscovered gems. Often full of newer brands, local produce and quirky stalls, they make for a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, eating, chatting and browsing.

As both locals and tourists continue to flock to London’s markets, the choices can be overwhelming, so we’ve rounded up a selection of the best indie markets in London. You can often find a few of Pedddle’s stallholders at them too!

With Covid-secure measures such as social distancing and one-way systems still in place at many venues, we’ve included links to each market that we’ve mentioned, so that you can check the latest advice and restrictions.

Here’s our pick of some of the best indie markets in London…
