Sustainable and environmentally friendly

Tiny Box Company was founded with a strong environmental focus, aiming to provide gift packaging with a lower impact than traditional packaging. Founder Rachel Watkyn secured investment on the BBC’s “Dragons’ Den” and embarked on creating packaging alternatives with a smaller carbon footprint.

“It’s great to be able to order from a company that truly has sustainability at its core”.

Tiny Box Company is passionate about sustainability, and it’s woven into everything they do. Beyond just their products, it’s a fundamental value that drives the entire company. They ensure that all their shipping material is either recycled, recyclable, reusable, or compostable. Parcels are wrapped using paper tape, recyclable tissue paper and recycled boxes for filler. Minimising warehouse waste is a key aspect of the company’s core operations.

The core value of not creating more waste than absolutely necessary is built into every department. They refill their company’s domestic consumables with eco-friendly soaps and washing liquids, eliminating the need for disposables in the office. They also have a recycling and reusing scheme in place. To further reduce waste, they utilise a cardboard muncher to shred and reuse waste cardboard from other businesses as well as their own.

It’s clear that Tiny Box Company‘s dedication to sustainability strikes a chord with their customers. This is evident in their products. For example, their magnetic gift boxes are made from 40% recycled materials and can have multiple uses, such as for gift cards, bottles, and hampers. Their gift bags with rope handles are also a good alternative to plastic carrier bags, with different sizes available for a range of products.
