Who we are

Spuggy Designs is a Surrey-based, design-led small business creating colourful knitwear, knitting-inspired stationery, and thoughtfully made giftable goods. Founded and run by Helaina from her home knitting studio, the brand combines over 20 years of knitting experience with self-taught machine knitting to produce high-quality, small-batch pieces.

Each knitwear design is created on a manual, hand-powered knitting machine using natural and eco-friendly fibres such as Merino wool, British wool, and recycled cotton. Most items are made to order, supporting a slow fashion approach that prioritises longevity, craftsmanship, and responsible production.

Alongside unisex knitwear—including scarves, snoods, hats, jumpers, ponchos, and seasonal baby items—Spuggy Designs also produces knitting-based notebooks and knitting pattern notebooks designed specifically for makers. The product range is complemented by gentle lanolin soaps and curated cosy gift sets, offering a cohesive, design-conscious collection with strong gift appeal.
