Who we are

Hi, I’m Nicole, owner of Orgill Originals.
A Father, Daughter team based in a small Derbyshire village. It started as a simple dream of learning how to make a leather satchel which has become a huge part of our lives and passion. We are completely self taught in leathercraft and every process is done entirely by hand, no machines are used here!

My favourite part of the process is hand stitching our bags on our homemade stitching ponies. This involves using 2 needles, awls and a long length of thread and is very therapeutic once you get going! All of our bags and accessories are designed by myself, blending traditional techniques with modern styles.

We also create a range of nature inspired gifts, handmade from copper, wood and paper. My personalised photograph paper roses are a best selling design totally unique to you, great for wedding anniversaries and so much more.

The natural world and our local surroundings have a big influence on our work and I love nothing more than being able to share this experience with my Dad.

We work from our home studio/workshop space and I regularly attend in person markets throughout the year across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire!
