Who we are
“Anyone can love a rose but it takes a lot to love a leaf. It’s ordinary to love the beautiful, but it’s beautiful to love the ordinary” – Unknown.
All of my jewellery is inspired by nature and each piece serves as a reminder to head out into the great outdoors for a breather while going about your everyday busy lives! We all need to remember to take time for ourselves and what better way to do so than by popping outside into the fresh air for a bit of an escape!
Each piece of jewellery is handmade by myself in my home studio in Hartlepool, North East of England. I use traditional techniques but in a modern and contemporary design. Most of my work is made from 100% recycled sterling silver and 9ct yellow gold. In my practice I aim to be as sustainable & eco-friendly as possible using packaging that can easily be recycled & working to reduce waste when making.
My love of nature and especially leaves stems from being a child; a fond memory is walking home from school listening to the rustling of the leaves under my feet in Autumn. Although my jewellery usually features a leaf design, I also enjoy incorporating other plants such as daisies, roses and water lilies into my designs.
After being made redundant from my job in a local jewellers in August 2019, I became self-employed as a freelance admin assistant for a local Jewellery Designer. This is when I picked up my tools to start making a living out of my craft alongside my freelance work.
