Who we are
I’m a studio potter and ceramics instructor based in North East England.
I value heritage, craftsmanship and sustainability and make functional and decorative wheel-thrown ceramics in stoneware clay. The pieces aren’t limited or dictated by trends so serve their owner for years to come.
Often thrown and altered, I combine classic forms with modern glazes and textures to create a range of contemporary pieces.
Once pieces reach leather hard stage, they’re carefully trimmed and fettled it before being bisque fired and later glaze fired. I use traditional glazes many of which have a reactive element, so they move in the kiln creating interest and depth on the pot surface.
To minimise environmental impact, my packaging is eco-friendly, recycled, recyclable, or compostable.
By bringing quality, handmade craft into the home, my ceramics become part of people’s ritual and enhance the every day.
