Meet the Makers Market - Northamptonshire - is a friendly, fun event celebrating talented independent makers.
Meet the Makers Markets started way back in 2019 when Emma (who runs her own business, Pin Clothing) visited a food fair at Buckingham Community Centre. Whilst reflecting in the shower the next day she thought it would be a great venue for a craft fair. With over 12 years experience of selling at craft fairs, Emma thought she had enough experience to put on one of her own. Fast forward to October 2019 when the first Buckingham Meet the Makers Market came to fruition. The event was recieved with positivity from stallholders and shoppers alike.
Off the back of the success of the first market, Emma planned 3 new events for 2020. Just weeks before the first event of 2020 was to go ahead, the country went into lockdown. Unfortunately the planned events had to be postponed.
Fast forward to two years from the first event and we were able to hold our second Meet the Makers Market, returning to Buckingham Community Centre. We went on to hold our first Christmas market in December 2021. 2022 brought us 4 events, a spring market, an autumn market and another Christmas market in Buckingham, as well as a new Christmas market at a brand new venue.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our events, we always try to provide a range of different makers for our customers and avoid over saturation/competition in one particular area. We do always try to mix it up for each event to ensure we continue to have the high footfall we do.
