Dumfries Makers Market showcases a curated selection of talented makers, creatives, food & drink producers from across the region & beyond.
You can expect a line up of musicians, performers and family friendly activities throughout the day, alongside the stallholders. Supported by volunteers & celebrating community spirit.
Each month we’ll transform the old printworks at the rear of The Press within the Midsteeple Quarter into a bustling indoor market. The Press really is a hidden gem in the heart of Dumfries accessed via a close just a few doors up from Flourish, our community space and gift shop. Market stalls & gazebos also spill out outdoors onto the high street on the Planestaines and Midsteeple Cobbles too.
On market day you'll have the opportunity to explore over 25 makers & producers. It's the perfect opportunity to head to our town centre to help support our community, by shopping small and local. Our market encourages locals and visitors to explore the town centre, and in turn, bringing much needed revenue to the local economy.
We offer discounted trading space to charity/not for profit stalls, so they are able to benefit from some community fundraising.
Dumfries Market Festival is organised by The Guild Dumfries C.I.C, a social enterprise based in Dumfries.
