The war and suffering is still very much happening in Ukraine, although UK news has more recently been focusing on the energy crisis. Many stallholders we spoke to felt that they hadn’t ‘done’ anything to support the charities involved in supporting victims of the Ukraine war, but wanted to.
Pedddle is hosting an not-for-profit online market, the Ukraine Charity Appeal Market, on Tresstle in April 2022, which is just £4 for stallholders to enter, and allows all customers to support charities and independents.
Both members and non-members of Pedddle can apply between 4th April ~ 10th April 2022.
Participants will be notified of acceptance by Tuesday 12th April.
Every participant will be required to:
- Host their own JustGiving page or equivalent Charity registered website. Linking to a Ukraine related Charity of choice. The participant will run this for as long as they wish ending on Sunday 24th April at 10pm. The host then selects a winner of their gift and posts it out to them.
- Pay and complete their event listing within 48hours to confirm their place otherwise it could go to someone else. It’s a bit brutal, but we want to be ready and as it’s not for profit we won’t be chasing people to do their part for the market.
- Share the market on social media and link to the market page in their bio.
Optional:
- A participant can choose to also link to their online shop and donate a percentage of profits to the Charity of choice. This would be the responsibility of the participant to share with us the value you would be donating to the Charity following the market.
- Do a pre-recorded chat or an IG Live with Nicki to promo your products.
Ukraine Charity Appeal Market is a not-for-profit event where any monies taken during the application process will be put towards advertising and the setting up of the event. Anything in addition to this cost will be donated to the designated charity.
