Who we are
Hello there!
Welcome, my name is Jay and I am the maker, designer and owner of Krorroskos designs. I am 31, cat mum to three, snake mum and I am perpetually pink haired! I’ve been making things for around 8 years. I have ADHD and have always used crafting to help keep my brain quiet.
I started out making keyrings for my friends and was essentially pushed into making my own shop due to the joy it brought me to make things specifically for people. Then I came across Jesmonite around February 2021. I fell in love with the endless possibilities with the material and decided to bring that to my shop’s repertoire. It was a much faster alternative to resin, and a much more eco friendly material. I have always been passionate about bringing colour and fun and life into my home and wherever I went to shop for those things I could not find what I wanted. I love celestial themes, colourful small pieces and witchy décor, but this was not readily available to me.
I have always loved spirituality, crystals and witchcraft styles so I started to drive my shop in that direction. I am just beginning now to fully design my own products using a variety of techniques and skills that I have picked up over the years.
I first design the products using 3D CAD software and ensure they’re capable of being printed by my 3D printer and moulded in silicone. Then I either split the piece into parts to print or I just set it to print checking all of the settings on my machine are correct and adjusting things for the filament that I am currently using (always biodegradable filament!). Next up I create a mould box for the pieces to be cast in silicone and ensure that I’m working in optimal conditions to do this. Last but not least I pour my jesmonite. This is always my favourite step because I finally get to see if my design is as I pictured it in my head.
My first official design I have done this way is my Trinket Books, they have been designed to ensure access no matter how they are displayed and to make sure they look beautiful from every angle. I have also lined all the drawers for these with velvet to make sure your treasured belongings are nicely protected.
I hope you loved my stall, if you would like to hear more from me you can sign up to my mailing list below and receive 20% off your first order and a £5 voucher for your birthday.
