We are closing our applications

Well, here’s the story.

Time is sparse at the best of times and doing every aspect of the business all the time is tricky as a small business owner, me included. And at times, it is really difficult to know what to focus on and at what task to do to best serve your business and drive it forward. Everyone is at different stages in their business too, but we all still need help.

We didn’t leave school able to do everything we know now, we run a business for one year, two years or even ten years and there is still more we can learn! Agreed.

So here’s the thing. We are already a great group of talented stallholders with a lot of knowledge between us. So this is what we have to work on.

This is our super power!

The fact that we are a team and by signing up to Pedddle our members have shown commitment to building their business and investing in themselves (which is super important). Big ‘high five’ to that!

Pedddle will still be a platform to find independent, creative markets and stallholders. But now it will also be a place for stallholders to learn and grow in our hubs.

Pedddle will manage micro-communities that will grow together, share ideas, offer advice to one another and support one another on social media to help engagement.

So when you sign up to be a member of Pedddle you get the exposure from our website, check-in at markets and the promotion on social media as usual, but now you are also making a commitment to help your business to grow and increase your knowledge by investing in yourself.

The Pedddle Hubs

The hubs will be created by our team using information you have given us. This includes your business age, what support you feel you need, your locations, your products, the stage at which your business is at etc.

It will be a positive environment to ask questions and share social media posts and to get responses to help gain traction.
There will be no more than 12 stallholders/businesses per hub (smaller to start with).
It will be a place that we (Pedddle) can share our market news but also give snippets of information in bite sized amounts to help you as you need it. We will be looking at delving deeper into your business to give a more informed understanding of where you are at and where you are looking to go.

Last month we launched our ‘Top Tips’ email for members. Simply: 5 tips on a topic to help them reflect, aimed at improving their strategies or work management etc. Following this, the first Monday of every month we hold a Q&A session on our private Instagram members only group. This is a Live chat where everyone can interact and we have some interviews with others that have more knowledge on a topic.

It’s a journey and an evolution that we are all on as we grow our businesses. Investing in yourself is possibly one of the most important parts of your business- I certainly found this. I created Pedddle because I couldn’t find the markets I wanted to find and also to connect with stallholders I may have seen at events. This will always be at the heart of Pedddle’s ethos.

However, to ensure the market community grows with an ever demanding consumer base I could see the need for stallholders to have a more personal support programme and what better way than to create micro-communities within our fabulously talented group of stallholders.

I am really excited to work with our members in the hubs and I know we will all have a deeper connection and hopefully the communities will flourish and gain the positive results we are after.
