Who we are
Hi I’m Trine, and i started Vintage Love in 2018.
In late 2018 I inherited a beautiful brooch from my Danish Great-Grandmother. I loved it but wanted a more contemporary look so I decided to try to alter it to become the centrepiece of a new necklace. I received loads of compliments and I loved the process of creating it – so I began experimenting with more vintage pieces and some leather pieces.
My Danish heritage combined with my love of repurposing all these lovely, unique, quirky, vintage pieces was the birth of Vintage Love!
I now acquire beautiful jewellery and leather destined for landfill and re-craft it into my own designs. Often one piece will be the inspiration for a whole new range. Every piece is created lovingly by hand and I now also restore vintage jewellery to its former glory, bringing it back to life for its owner. I have taken a number of commissions and pride myself on delivering the best service to every single customer.
I try to minimise wastage all the way through the process . The majority of scrap jewellery, fabrics, and haberdashery is sourced through local charity shops, not only does this guarantee that no item will ever be exactly the same but allows me to support charities. All leather is surplus waste sofa leather.
I can be found online at www.vintagelovebytrine.co.uk and in local artisan markets all across the North West! Pop by and see me or drop into my shop for a browse!
