Tipple Tails fruit cakes, made in Sheffield by craft baker Jane Stammers, remind us of favourite pastimes, friends & family occasions, delicious food, summer afternoons & cosy winter evenings; the smell of cut grass, kicking up autumn leaves, waking up to the smell of baking & coffee in the morning!
‘Tip over Tipple Tails’ is a Yorkshire phrase for a ‘head over heels’, a ‘backward flip’ or a ‘roly poly’ & conjures up images of childhood & innocent fun; the simple things in life. In Yorkshire, it is also used to describe a person who would bend over backwards to do something.
Jane has worked hard to source all the elements of her award winning, mouth-watering cakes from as close to her home in Sheffield as possible, using really great ingredients & supporting local businesses in order to produce delicious moist fruit cakes, packed with fruit & nuts & infused with unusual tipples.
