Who we are
Nikki is a North East based Artist/Designer
After graduating from Brighton’s School of Art & Design in 2017 moved back to the North East to pursue more personal work which culminated in the launch of Nolasean in 2020, an independent creative studio producing sculpture and print based ephemera.
My Current Circlet Collection draws on a mix of Pop-Art and Abstract Expressionism; presenting a challenge to the traditions of fine art by using collage to create spontaneous and subconscious creations from found imagery from magazines and other mundane mass-produced cultural objects.
With the fusion of seemingly disparate and juxtaposed assemblages – materials are combined with different elements, styles and mediums, creating entirely novel, bizarre, arresting and beautiful pieces. These pieces can work with a number of different interior styles from minimal/neutral to bold/eclectic. The range comes in 50x50cm and 23x23cm both framed and unframed.
All artworks are handmade collage that are scanned to enlarge and printed via Giclée Printing. This fine art digital printing process combines pigment based inks printed on high quality archival quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm paper to achieve superior quality, light fastness and stability ensuring colours last for over 100 years.
If you are struggling to make your choice or you have any specific size and colours in mind, Nolasean Studio is open to commissions
I have a number of new works coming soon
