Who we are
Lisa Fox and her son created Fox and Boo in February 2017. Lisa, a Ladybird Books artist, commercial illustrator, and former designer for The National Trust, had already had success with her picturesque designs of North Wales, and was keen develop her ideas further, but felt it was important to do this as a ‘brand’ rather than an extension of her freelance practice. Her vision was that it would be a family affair, and that the name must reflect that, so with her teenage son’s nickname being Boo, it wasn’t a difficult decision.
Since that day Lisa has been busy working to bring her uniquely recognisable designs to market, as a cohesive giftware range whilst her son sells at the markets, looks after the social media and e-commerce platforms – all great for his GCSEs in Business Studies and Media.
The brand has grown significantly, and beyond all expectations in it’s first two years of trading, with much of the leg work done at Artisan Markets and cultural events across the Midlands and the North West, but equally importantly by social campaigns and a strong online presence, which has attracted customers and FAB followers from all over the globe.
