Who we are

Hello! I’m Ellie Cartlidge and I opened ElliesTextiles at the start of lockdown. With all this extra thinking time on my hands, I’d realised just how unhappy my current work situation had made me and I started to question if I even wanted a creative career anymore. In April I was asked by a local hospital to produce some positive posters to try and spread some joy amongst the wards. One poster in particular was so popular with the staff and my Instagram followers, I decided to recreate the design and make postcards. Before I knew it, ElliesTextiles was born with just 1 postcard design, and it’s grown from there! I’m not only grateful for all of the orders and support but it’s really helped me to get my creative mojo back.

I really enjoy character and animal design so I thought it was a natural starting place with children’s prints. I hope to keep expanding my product range so there is eventually something for everyone. Follow me on social media if you would like to follow more of my journey.
